Good Afternoon all, it is that time of the week where we all scramble to come up with a 100 piece of flash fiction to do with the photo prompt below. Huge thanks for all she does and congratulations to our host Rochelle Wisoff-Fields for the up coming release of her latest book ‘Please Say Kaddish For Me’.
By Heidi Busbybrown.
Word Count: 98
Perched on the edge of a cold metal bench, Sasha scans the growing crowd in the square. Her pulse races as her fingers clench around the black case’s handles.
Carefully she slides her precious cargo under the bench.
Years of guarding it, for what?
“Is it all in there?”
Sasha flinched, “of course, I know how important it is Robert.”
“Now, now Sasha, calm down.” He’s right behind her, his breath tickling her ear.
“It is time.” His lips brush against her cheek, “stay safe Sasha.”
She blinks, and the black case and Robert are gone.
