The Royal Throne – Friday Fictioneers Flash Fiction Photo Prompt

Hello all!

I hope you are well and ready for some more Flash Fiction. Today is a special day for me, it’s my mother’s 70th birthday. So, happy birthday mum, this one’s for you as you will always be our Queen Bea!  As always, we are given our photo prompt by our wonderful Friday Fictioneer leader, Rochelle . Life is manic at the moment with family and rehearsals for Spamalot the musical. To see exactly what I’ve been up to click here !

So here is my attempt for this week. I hope you enjoy it.

The Royal Throne.

As day became night, they awoke.

Whispers floated on the air.

                “Blossom!”

“What’s going on?”  She stretched her arms and arched her back allowing her silver and green wings to unfurl.

“You have to see it Blossom…it’s magnificent!” Daisy tugged on her.

“Fine, but this had better not be one of your tricks.” Blossom followed Daisy.

The green grass was littered with Fairies and they were all staring at a huge white monument, blue and yellow pansies sprung forth from the centre.

“This will be the new Royal throne!” Cheers erupted and clapping as Queen Bea landed amongst the flowers.

                  “Isn’t it amazing!”

                    Blossom chuckled.

                   “What?”

                   “It’s a toilet Daisy.”

  1. Dear Heidi,

I know about busy. Looks like you’re up to your dance shoes in fun. I wish I could come see your show but the passage isn’t doable right now. 😉
We’ve always referred to it as the throne. Fun story and happy birthday to your mum.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

  2. Heidi!

This is adorable! I love how you took something that looks so dull and broken and turned it into a fantastical piece! I definitely chuckled at the end. Thank you and great job!
