 Cold – Hearted.

Intricate patterns of ice cover the windows, blocking my sight.

Haunted by memories.

Lucien’s warm smile, stolen kisses, his confession of love.

I waited for him…but he never came.

The screams of terror…so much death…

My kingdom was brought to its knees, in a single night.

I hear the key twist in the lock as I wipe away my tears.

“You made the right choice Princess. It would have been cruel indeed, for such beauty and power to be wiped from the realm.”

I shudder as his lips graze my cheek.

“I’ve just got back Lucas, this had better be important…”

“Lucien?” I gasp.

“Adrianna?”

Lucas smirks, “My fiancé, Adrianna…my little brother, Prince Lucien.”

Time To fly.

22.6.2016

At 12:05 am –Flight 06667– Exploded mid-air – No survivors.

11:00 pm –

Turbulence, the plane drops and so does my stomach.

A little boy stares at me, bottom lip quivering.

The mission just changed.

11:25

“Dr Walton?”

“He’s secure.”

“Standby.”

11:40

“Masks on.”

Gas creeps through the plane, crawling up their bodies.

It’s better for them this way.

11:45

My team spreads down the aisle.

Timing is everything.

11:59

“Jumping in ….5…4…3…2….1”

White light fills the plane, energy surges through me.

22.6.2075

12:10 am

The passengers of flight 0667 wake-up in a new world.

7:30 am

“Welcome Dr Walton, we really need your help.”

Love Notes.

Nathaniel’s fingers glide over the keys as the music builds.

Our guests lose themselves in the notes and each other.

It’s what he does best.

A master of the ceremony, feeding off them as he plays.

A sea of flesh lies before me, their glistening bodies entwined.

Hands touching, stroking.

Hips thrusting, as they are swept away with the beat.

I lick my lips, savouring the taste.

Love, desire and lust and if I’m not mistaken, a hint of jealousy.

It’s a heady combination.

The sweet groans of satisfaction, drown out the final note.

“Delicious.”

“Full?”

“Yes…but there’s always room for dessert.”

Guardian.

A cold breeze tickles my face.

She’s back.

“He’s here.” Lisa whispers.

 I shiver.

I hear him shouting and things smashing.

I blink and rub my eyes as she points to my wardrobe.

“Hide.”

I climb in amongst my clothes.

Lisa presses a finger to her mouth and the doors close on me.

A scream.

Gun shots fired.

Footsteps.

My bedroom door creaks open.

I hold my breath, squeezing my eyes shut as tears run down my cheeks.

“Found her!” The policeman shouts.

Lisa stands in the corner of my room watching.

“Thank you.” I whisper.

Lisa nods and with a little wave, my big sister disappears.

 Bite Me.

I gasped for breath as I pressed myself up against the cold stone wall.

Trapped.

The Alpha stepped out of the shadows, golden eyes wide with excitement.

His ears pricked up as howls echoed around us.

They were coming.

He edged closer, his silver fur glistened in the moonlight.

My heart raced.

The air vibrated around us, bones snapped, fur slid away to reveal soft skin.

“Caught you.” Zac said, lifting my chin.

“Bite me.” I snapped.

“Oh, I intend to.”

“No…you can’t.”

I gasped as he feathered kisses down my neck and circled my shoulder.

“Mine.” His teeth pierced my flesh, claiming me.

“I…” It was overwhelming…I could feel him everywhere.

My wolf took over and I bit down on his shoulder.

“Mine.”

A lone howl filled with sorrow, split the night.

What have I done?
