Hello all!
I hope you are well and ready for some more Flash Fiction.Today is my daughter, Hermione’s 12th birthday and so this story is for her. She really wanted to be able to fly, so I hope she likes it!
As always, we are given our photo prompt by our wonderful Friday Fictioneer leader, Rochelle . The rules are to write a story in 100 words, using the photo prompt as inspiration. I do apologise for my being behind with reading everyone’s work. I am busy learning lines for The Hollow and taking children to hospital appointments. It’s the first week of the holidays so wish me luck lol. I am hoping to catch up shortly.
So here is my attempt for this week. I hope you enjoy it.

Free Fall.
27th July 3016
Water levels rose.
Land disappeared.
Humans say it was God, some blame pollution.
Personally, I don’t see why it matters, the result is still the same.
Small camps now litter the mountains.
We protect them.
The human children gather, eyes wide, as we leap off the edge of the cliff.
Alana flies past me, “we’ll find her, Hermione.”
We soar over the new lakes.
“Over there!” Charlie points below.
My little sister’s trapped on a ledge, the beast’s claws swiping at her.
“Izzy!”
She falls.
My heart stops.
Her wings broken!
I sweep down, catching her mid- air.
“You caught me.”
“I’ll always catch you when you fall.”

Mad Cow Productions present THE HOLLOW By Agatha Christie – THE HOLLOW is a classic English country house mystery, and rather a lot of fun.
An unhappy game of romantic follow-the-leader explodes into murder one weekend at The Hollow, home of Sir Henry and Lucy Angkatell.
With all the usual suspects assembled: the jilted lover, mistress, wife, and of course, a butler. It is up to Inspector Colquhoun and Sergeant Penny to work out “whodunit!”

Dear Rochelle,
Thank you so much! It was a bit tricky this week. I asked her what she wanted before I saw the photo lol. Fingers crossed it works 🙂

Just starting to understand it! Her name came from Hermia originally. I have three girls…Amelia, Hermione and Isabella, though the youngest goes by Izzy instead.😀
