What its all about…

Cole Porter’s “Anything Goes” is one of the greatest musicals in theatre history. It’s joyful, exuberant and is a first-class musical comedy.

When the S.S. American heads out to sea, etiquette and convention get tossed out the portholes as two unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love… proving that sometimes, destiny needs a little help from a crew of singing sailors, an exotic disguise and some good old-fashioned blackmail.

Peppering this timeless classic are some of musical theatre’s most memorable standards including, I Get A Kick Out Of You, You’re the Top, and of course, Anything Goes.

This amateur performance is by arrangement with MusicScope & Stage Musicals Limited of New York.

Rehearsal Diary.

It has literally been full steam ahead with this show. It’s why I’m so behind with my diary. We did the scary bit and auditioned…then we were on a man hunt. Who would have thought it would be so difficult to get men into a sailors suit? Even with the promise of stunning women? Well, we got there eventually. Hand on heart I can say this, we have a strong talented cast and they have poured their hearts and souls into their characters. You are in for one hell of a show! As always is the case, there is so much that goes into making a show and it really is a team effort. The props and costume departments are in full swing and I can’t wait for you to see it all! If you missed any of the Anything Goes rehearsal diaries, have no fear click to catch up 🙂 Part One and Part Two !

At the beginning of one rehearsal a few ladies, myself included, turned up wearing brand new sports bras. Josh isn’t wrong about the vast amount boob wiggling, or twinkle tits, as one dance move has been nicknamed;) In true Mad Cow fashion we ladies were showing each other what we’d bought and comparing the bounce versus jiggle of each one.

As rehearsal was called to order Alex said, “I’m very impressed with the bras tonight!”

Without missing a beat Lisa said, “And that’s just the boys!”

Cue cast bursting into fits of giggles 🙂

Happy Birthday Steven Taylor!

So, I decided to do something a little bit different this time. I wanted to find out about everyone’s best moments so far, so, I have asked the company to answer seven questions. Read on for their answers…if you dare!

Warning! There may be mildly inappropriate gales ahead with a strong chance of childish humour coming in from the west.
