Hello all!
I hope you are well and ready for some more Flash Fiction. As always, we are given our photo prompt by our wonderful Friday Fictioneer leader, Rochelle . The rules are to write a story in 100 words, using the photo prompt as inspiration. Life is still manic at the moment with family and rehearsals for Spamalot the musical. I can’t believe that in one weeks my hubby and I will be on stage performing! It’s so exciting! To see exactly what I’ve been up to click here ! I’m still reading last weeks, so be patient with me, I’m getting there slowly. 🙂
So here is my attempt for this week. I hope you enjoy it.

Till Death Do Us Part.
“Why do you need more barbed wire Harry?”
“To keep them out of course.”
“Who?”
“Our enemies.”
“Your enemies.”
“What?”
“We’re surrounded by fences and armed guards. The Manor is more like a prison than a home.”
He strokes my cheek and I freeze in place.
“Do you think Drew, would have given you a better life?” I shudder as his breath tickles my ear.
“Your coffee’s getting cold.”
“Answer me!”
“He’s dead…what does it matter.”
Harry smiles and lifts the cup to his mouth and drinks.
The cup smashes, “Lucinda…why?” He gasps.
“You killed Drew. You took me from my family… but you taught me well Harry… and for that, I will always be thankful.” I watch with a smile as his body stills and white foam gathers on his lips.

He should have kept a closer watch on the people he kept inside his fortress, eh? Good work! And I agree with you and Rochelle that she should get away with it.
Cheers!
